The Humanities and Social Change Center is hosting a conference honoring American philosopher Stanley Cavell. Speakers will discuss Cavell’s contribution to the understanding of the dimensions of democratic life and how they are played out in film and religion.

This event will be held in Social Sciences and Media Studies room 4315 from February 14-15th (see the full schedule here). It is co-sponsored by the Religious Studies department, the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center, the Film and Media Studies department, and more.
