The UCSB Department of Art Fall 2020 Visiting Artist Colloquium features ten synchronous Artist Talks that are scheduled each Thursday evening from October 8 through December 10. The second of the series is Aleks Lucas, who’s practice is focused on the intersections of place and human activity, narrative, history, and invention. His fieldwork, research, and production reframe the plebeian, monumental, and incidental, through intricate publication series, sculptures, drawings, prints, videos, and audio collages.
