University of Pittsburgh history professor Ryan Horn will present a virtual talk about how digital techniques can be used to understand empires in a geospatial context. This talk will build on the work of the Aeolian Alexanders project (a mapping project studying the region of Hellenistic Aeolis in western Turkey) funded by the National Endowment of the Humanities.
