VISITING ARTIST COLLOQUIUM: MARTON ROBINSON

Costa Rican artist Marton Robinson challenges the conventional representations of black identities in art history, mainstream culture, and the official national narratives of Costa Rica through his art. He will be discussing how his work serves to confront conceptions inherited from colonialism and exposes the nuances present in the Afro-Latino experience. 

This event is free and will take place at UCSB’s Embarcadero Hall in Isla Vista.
