SPEECH, WHITE SUPREMACY, AND INSURRECTION

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2021 - 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM - ONLINE

Presented by the Walter H. Capps Center.

The January 6 insurrection at the United States Capitol brought to the fore the threat that white nationalist forces pose to our democracy. Join the Capps Center for a conversation about these forces, their history, and what can be done to resist them. The event will feature UC Free Speech Fellows, Ryan Coonerty (Santa Cruz County Supervisor) and Melissa Barthelemy (Public History doctoral candidate), and Dr. Katya Armistead (Assistant Vice Chancellor and Dean of Student Life).

This event is free but registration is required.
