The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultural Studies hosted a two-day symposium about Chinese poetry’s effect on the world and the role translation plays in its impact. The symposium began with introductions from UCSB English professor Yunte Huang and UCSB East Asian Languages and Cultural Studies professor Hangping Xu.
