Under the direction of Scott Marcus, the UCSB Middle East Ensemble performed traditional music and dance from a variety of Middle Eastern cultures. They featured songs by Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum to celebrate their 50th anniversary, two Kurdish songs featuring Kurdish graduate student Fidel Kilic, and more.
