As part of the Corwin Chair Series, Ned McGowan (composer, professor at Urecht Conservatory) will give a lecture called "Speed in Music, Brain and Body.” McGowan’s goal is to dissect the experience of speed in music with an artistic and scientific approach, exploring ideas such as “the speed of a moment” and how time relates to human physiology.

Admission is free and open to the public. The talk will take place on January 20th at 4:30pm in Studio Xenakis (Room 2215 in the Music Building).
