From June 10-30th, The Environmental Humanities Initiative will be hosting their conference Next Earth: Teaching Climate Change Across Disciplines. The goal of the conference is to bring together climate and sustainability educators of every discipline, from the arts and humanities to social sciences and natural sciences. EHI found that air travel to conferences contributed more than a third of the carbon footprint for a typical scholar/university. To combat this, the conference will follow a carbon-neutral model, where presentations will be done through videos and discussion will take place online.
