On January 17 from 4-6pm in HSSB 6020, Mark Fathi Massoud (UCSB Associate Professor of Politics and Legal Studies) will discuss how women in Somalia are looking to the Qur’an and the Hadith, Islam’s foundational sources, to promote women’s rights and human and political security. A reception will follow.
